Clouds

Have you ever noticed,

How clouds just go,

With the flow?

Have you ever seen

How they form shapes?

Sometimes into a dinosaur

Sometimes like lions that roar.

How I wish I could touch them,

Turn them into, a shape of my choice.

But its inordinate to see that they nestle

With so much poise.

So if I gave you the choice to unsheathe a cloud,

What would you draw out loud?

Would it be a shining star,

Or a glorious car?

Let us run our fascination wild,

Like a two year old child.

Let the creative juices flow,

So that, just like the clouds,

We are on the Go!

Humble Beginnings

With the doors closed,
And the face masked,
Let us call these humble beginnings,
Instead of frightful times.

Let us create eminent memories,
Let us connect more,
Let us wander into our thoughts,
And design our own clay pots.

Let the wind chime create music,
Let us let our hair loose,
Let us treat this phase as a pause,
Where we can re-device, reorganize
So that we can re-play later.

Let us chance upon new ideas,
Let's pour up the breakfast with chias,
Let us call these humble beginnings,
Instead of horrid times.

Healing

When we lose a close one,
When we face a breakpoint,
When we front onto a loss,
We may be heartbroken.
But should we lead it to ruin our being?

Instead of cursing the universe,
Let our wounds heal,
Let us face our scars,
And let it all turn into beautiful memories.

It sounds terribly easy,
To talk about healing,
When we are unaware,
About what one is dealing, with.

But let us put a helping handout,
To the ones suffering,
So that the pain turns into healing
and that blemish turns pleasing.

Never Say Die

Have you ever heard the birds say 'No'?
Have you ever heard the birds ask 'why'?
They fly the limitless sky,
And do away with the shy.

But why are we humans so sly?
Why do we keep on our pry?
Why are we so ready to desert,
Instead of having hope to assert?

Birds can be a source of inspiration,
If we can run wild our imagination,
A rooster says rise and awake,
A duck says dance and shake,
A penguin says be classy,
A humming says be observant and safe.

It's time we pursue from the birds,
How to never say die,
Always keep our heads high,
And how to freely fly!

Pancakes

Sometimes with jam,
Sometimes with ham,
This breakfast turns yum, each time!

Mix a pancake,
Stir a pancake,
Whip it if you can.

Blend a pancake,
Toss a pancake,
Fry it in your pan.

Play with the batter,
Let's not wait for the flutter,
And when it pops up,
Let's add lots of butter.

Sometimes with jam,
Sometimes with ham,
This snack turns yum, each time.
So let's enjoy it with our fam!

The Lighthouse

It is said that,
You can draw warmth
From a distance.

I recently found myself,
Immersed in a notion,
Of  drawing positivism,
From a faraway land.

This homo sapien says,
Go the extra mile.
It seems to add purity to the gile.

This humankind always brightens,
The day with a smile.
And seems to go on,
To deep thoughts for a while.

He provides the hope of humanity,
It somehow takes away my insanity.
We talk about human mortality,
Flesh and society.
He provides insight about,
poles apart fraternity.

The dialect gets my intellect aroused
I call him the farway 'Lighthouse'.

Why do you not ask: Am I happy?

You ask, how am I doing?
You enquire, how was my day?

You ask, how did I like my food?
You probe, if I am doing any good.

You ask, how did I do at school today?
you snoop whether I took a dip at the pool today.

You ask, how was the weather?
You ask, did I see the birds flock the feather?

You ask if my family approves,
you dig if my friends disapprove.

But why is it that you never ask,
Am I happy?

House Plant

                                                       Sits in a corner,
It does not bother the owner.

Takes care of its own,
Just likes a little light,
And sometimes gives a thirsty groan.

It flings around only peace,
It's brightness never seem to cease.

It offers a lot of fresh air,
And nurtures the habitat with care.

It might sit in a basket or a tub,
But makes space for a 'happy hub'!

After Life

What do you think,
Happens to us afterlife?

Do we get the right
To be a narcissist fool?
            Or
Do we get to be all the way cool?

Do you think the universe,
Sends us back to save the world?
            Or
Do you think we are set,
To brag with a bag of gold?

I think we are sent to
A peaceful zone,
Where the birds are chirping,
Where there is no cribbing,
And where we do not feel the need to moan.

Do you think we still take a lot of oaths?
I am really curious, really excited to know.
So why don't you all just let me know your thoughts?

P.S- would love to hear back your perception!

The Leaf

The leaf turns green,
Without a jealousy ping,
But with the sun's bream.

The leaf turns on the glaze,
If we provide it moisturizing ways,
And it turns mellow,
If we ignore it with self laze.

The leaf aerates us,
And furnishes a fresh abode,
It takes all the odorless load,
And never emphasizes on a return economic mode!

One Day At A Time

With hot beverages, frozen yogurts and
Netflix chills,
Let us all get through this
One day at a time!

With no eating out,
No getting out,
And only cleaning out!
Let us all get through this
One day at a time!

With righteous emotional health,
With good morale and physical health,
And improved mental health!
Let us all get through this
One day at a time!

With no certainty of time,
I would like to ask today,
Quarantine,
Will you please leave us safe
with our valentine?

The Centre

They may call it crazy,
Some say my fate is hazy.

But I, I like being
'The Centre'
The centre of your world.

You may call it Drama,
But maybe this is 'Karma?'
I can't help, I really can't,
But be 'the Centre'
The centre of your world!

So, my dear! Would you let me be?
Would you please let me be,
The centre
The centre of your world?

P.S : dedicated to my husband.
