Never Say Die

Have you ever heard the birds say 'No'?
Have you ever heard the birds ask 'why'?
They fly the limitless sky,
And do away with the shy.

But why are we humans so sly?
Why do we keep on our pry?
Why are we so ready to desert,
Instead of having hope to assert?

Birds can be a source of inspiration,
If we can run wild our imagination,
A rooster says rise and awake,
A duck says dance and shake,
A penguin says be classy,
A humming says be observant and safe.

It's time we pursue from the birds,
How to never say die,
Always keep our heads high,
And how to freely fly!

Pancakes

Sometimes with jam,
Sometimes with ham,
This breakfast turns yum, each time!

Mix a pancake,
Stir a pancake,
Whip it if you can.

Blend a pancake,
Toss a pancake,
Fry it in your pan.

Play with the batter,
Let's not wait for the flutter,
And when it pops up,
Let's add lots of butter.

Sometimes with jam,
Sometimes with ham,
This snack turns yum, each time.
So let's enjoy it with our fam!

The Lighthouse

It is said that,
You can draw warmth
From a distance.

I recently found myself,
Immersed in a notion,
Of  drawing positivism,
From a faraway land.

This homo sapien says,
Go the extra mile.
It seems to add purity to the gile.

This humankind always brightens,
The day with a smile.
And seems to go on,
To deep thoughts for a while.

He provides the hope of humanity,
It somehow takes away my insanity.
We talk about human mortality,
Flesh and society.
He provides insight about,
poles apart fraternity.

The dialect gets my intellect aroused
I call him the farway 'Lighthouse'.

Why do you not ask: Am I happy?

You ask, how am I doing?
You enquire, how was my day?

You ask, how did I like my food?
You probe, if I am doing any good.

You ask, how did I do at school today?
you snoop whether I took a dip at the pool today.

You ask, how was the weather?
You ask, did I see the birds flock the feather?

You ask if my family approves,
you dig if my friends disapprove.

But why is it that you never ask,
Am I happy?

House Plant

                                                       Sits in a corner,
It does not bother the owner.

Takes care of its own,
Just likes a little light,
And sometimes gives a thirsty groan.

It flings around only peace,
It's brightness never seem to cease.

It offers a lot of fresh air,
And nurtures the habitat with care.

It might sit in a basket or a tub,
But makes space for a 'happy hub'!

After Life

What do you think,
Happens to us afterlife?

Do we get the right
To be a narcissist fool?
            Or
Do we get to be all the way cool?

Do you think the universe,
Sends us back to save the world?
            Or
Do you think we are set,
To brag with a bag of gold?

I think we are sent to
A peaceful zone,
Where the birds are chirping,
Where there is no cribbing,
And where we do not feel the need to moan.

Do you think we still take a lot of oaths?
I am really curious, really excited to know.
So why don't you all just let me know your thoughts?

P.S- would love to hear back your perception!

The Leaf

The leaf turns green,
Without a jealousy ping,
But with the sun's bream.

The leaf turns on the glaze,
If we provide it moisturizing ways,
And it turns mellow,
If we ignore it with self laze.

The leaf aerates us,
And furnishes a fresh abode,
It takes all the odorless load,
And never emphasizes on a return economic mode!
