Healthy Weight Gain for the Slender bodied.

This post is the result of a query from one my friends- Shruti Shetty, whom I met long after college in an engagement ceremony.

Thanks Shruthi, for evoking this interesting topic.

When most of us are obsessed at trying to be skinny, there are many who are naturally skinny. This thought also takes me back to my childhood days ,when my Mom used to nag me to eat more as I was a extremely bony child.Back then, I used to hate eating. But to everyone's surprise, I turned a foodie some years back.

Now, there is no point to be disheartened if you are skinny. The good news is: You can eat whatever you like without second thoughts of becoming 'fat', the word which seem disaster to  many!

Some tips to let you gain desired weight:

Try to keep your mental state stress free. Do not hurry on anything. Many a times mental state hinder our physical growth.

On the diet front:
  1. Eat digestible food. Do not eat artificial fattening food.
  2. Include, milk, eggs, bananas and plenty of nuts in your breakfast.
  3. Have a healthy snack and fruit natural juices as mid day meal.
  4. Include one rice item in your lunch and dinner.
  5. Most importantly eat frequently. Apart from 3 meals a day, take breaks for snacks.
  6. Replace oil in your food with butter at times.

What to wear to make you look less skinny:

The best part here again is, you can wear almost unlike most others. All the slender bodied should rock the 'Baggy Look'. Wear a little over-sized shirt, t-shirt, sweater with your pair of jeans. Try to avoid a very tight fit top.

A personal tip would be: With sarees for ladies, try out a ruffled blouse. You can do a similar experiment with your three quarter handed tops. Again, on the food front, a Banana milk shake on a regular routine can jive you up to a little weight gain.

Have a good one! #Chao :)
