  6. I just happened to think about this topic few months ago. Back in 2016, I bought 5 Languages of Love book when I started dating Brendan as what I experienced with my ex was completely different than what I did with Brendan. It took me a long time to adjust from knowing 1 to 2 languages to experience all 5 languages from him. I know it's a long post because there are just so many ways for one to express "I love you", but I'll try to make it short:

    1. Words of Affirmation: We say or text 'I love you' everyday. His most use when i'm not with him is 'I wish you were here with me'.
    2. Act of Service: tie shoes lace, always carry stuff so my hands are empty, bring food and bubble teas to my work, buy my fav snacks so I have something to nom nom on while binge watch something, or to make sure I don't have to get out of the house when he's away.
    3. Gifts: it's a good way to show "I love you" when the other takes time and effort to find the things that you didn't realize you need. And it never has to be expensive. To me, it's the thought and effort that are more valuable than throwing me a credit card or cash and tell me I can buy whatever I want.
    4. Quality Time: we try to be there with each other and focus on each other without any distractions. It's harder during digital age like this but it's do-able.
    5. Physical Touch: we kiss each other waking up, before bedtime, we always have to touch each other to fall asleep so it makes it harder to for us to sleep when we are not together. We try to hold hands as much as we can remember.

Hope this contributes to the list everyone already provided :)
