Diary of a Mini-Wave

 Aloha!

My name is mini.

I travel to the shore many times a day.

Sometimes, I bring back the sand and sometimes a lot of twigs.

A lot of times I bring back plastic. My friends at sea don't seem to like that. I feel happy thinking you all left these toys for us to play with. They say it's likely to cause harm. I don’t seem to understand this. Mr. Squirtle, our turtle friend got a straw stuck in his nose the other day and things got a bit heated up. It was hilarious to watch him until he had trouble breathing.

Once in a blue moon, my parents quarrel and they call it the hurricane season. And yes! it gets plenty messy. I heard some of you compare these to rollercoaster rides. Are these fun or scary?  I am not fond of the hurricanes as I am not allowed to move out of our home base rocks. My elder brothers face the tide too. Mom keeps us safe during this time as well. How fascinating can moms be?

I like playing with a lot of you when we visit the shore. I know I cant stay longer because the other shore awaits too. However, its fun to come back each day. Some of my friends live in the parks and play with you more often than I do. They call their homes -wave pools or lazy rivers. Although I feel a little jealous about them getting more playtime, I still think it’s not too good to be lazy. Also mom said All play and no work makes Jack a mere toy.

Heartbreak has taught me....

I like how as soon as I saw this prompt my heart went through a myriad of emotions ranging from smell, sounds and to taste ;) as well. The kernel of my brain just jumped way back to high school and did a quick recap. I could visually imagine the neurons moving in reverse just like they show in the movies(in an animated way) during the few years ago... part :)

Heartbreak has definitely taught me to choose wisely. Be it about the time, when my high school boyfriend cheated on me or the time when one of my closest friends left without any explanation. Each experience has made me learn to handle loss in a better way. As the saying goes, 'Feel the feeling,do not become the emotion', I have started swearing by this. It is important to feel the grief and just let it go after a while. Do not hesitate to ask help. You have the right to feel sad, be angry and remain in your pajamas before you feel not broken again.

Without the low we sometimes do not enjoy the high in it's true sense. As a true believer or karma, I say- All things, good or bad happen for a reason be it a heartbreak or finding love again!

What has heartbreak taught you!? Let me know in the comments :)

Don't take the light away,yet!

Let it remain
Just a little while
So that my thoughts can linger
Until I can put out that
Not so perfect finger
To shut the thoughts
 I am so nuts about.

I want to
Revisit a little,
Regret a little,
Refrain a little,
And superemly
Reflect a little.
I know it isn't night yet, but the little light gives me a lot of hope
To wind down and start afresh!

Miami, Florida

Will you wait it out a little
Like you do, to forgive the dawn?
Why is the red light blazing tonight?
Is it a burst of anger or just asking me to stop?

I wish the red turns into shades of orange
As you call upon the night
So that it feels like the warm autumn
And I can whoop upon my tranquility
To call it a day!

PS: Feelings during a sunset.

Being the Hills

With the clouds playing
Hide and seek every other day
I try to brave it out with a smile.
Sometimes torrential rains for days
And sometimes a heated dry patch
I strive to keep up my lush greens.
P.C: Self clicked
 Location: Utah, USA

I have got to sing my hymn
Before the sunrise
Even if I am snow clad.
I love to see the birds fly
At Sunset, even if I am bare and brown.

I have learnt
It is only a matter of time,
There is no point
To bring in the whine.
The bitter days come
Only to cater in the good.

Therefore! my friend,
In this mountain of life
Thrills are an absolute willy-nilly
So that the excitement lingers on.
My advice to you is to strive on
And wade through
Remember! the tiniest of crusades
Lead us onto the finest things.
