Diary of a MAD Girl.

Today: Because she is happy, she is ought to sing ,dance and cook.

Yesterday: Because she was bored, she ate,ate and ate more until bored again.

Tomorrow: Because she may be annoyed ,she would vent it out all here.

Yet another day: Because she is sober, she wants to be loved.

That day: Because she was cranky , she would have wept.

This day: Small joys finally led her to put all of it into words.

Because You're Nice!

She smiles her way like a new sun ray,
Yes you, Of course 'YOU' help to keep the low at bay!

No oaths to keep, no sake you reap,
But haven't you already given her a heap?

She would like to ask Why?
Why the stride, why the pain, why not the penny plain!
The probe is still open,
But she refutes .
Because You're Nice!

Yes the lone was annoying,
And she would not deny trying,
To cope!
Not to call it evermore, Not to call it interim
Between what is said and not meant,
Between what is meant and not said,
She is still not wanting to cite,
Because You're Nice!
Because You're Nice!

10 Things I Hate about You!

I hate the way, you run into my mind.
I hate it when again, you decline.

I hate it when, you do, reprise.
I hate it when you,re-assure miles.

I hate the way you turn on hate.
I hate the times, when you made me wait.

I hate it, when you make me quiet.
I hate the times you 'indefinitely' hide.

I hate to think you may make me cry!
I hate to think you may leave my eyes obsolete dry!

'That Inspiring Neighbour '

I see him everyday,
He never ceases to smile.
Even with hushed eye sight,
He perceives in a while.

The sound of the flute,
He plays at every sunrise;
Wakes me up in a peaceful way.

His greetings shower
Like a youthful rhyme.
Makes me feel growing up,
Can be blissful as vintage wine.

P.S: inspired by a 70 year old neighbor. Dedicated to him as well, as he never draws a close on his smile!

P.S.S: Thanks to the young critic- Amit :)

Reviving The Art of Reading

Reading to me is not a hobby, it is a lifestyle. As the saying goes,"A Page read a day, keeps insanity at bay", reading adds life to each day that passes.

The sad part in today's life is the art of reading is thriving to exist. All of us are so busy with our daily work and social media taboo, that we blame all of it on time constraint. I still remember the furtive pleasure of being a pre- teen and how I almost mugged up the Enid Blytons. Strongly recommend the Enid Blyton books to school goers. They are the best ones to start with for the one who wants to cultivate the habit of reading.

Today's young crowd and some being my contemporaries ask ' Why do we invest a week in completing a book while we can watch a 90 minute movie in HD?'

So folks I would like to answer this by mentioning a few pointers:

  • Reading has proved to reduce stress by more than 60%
  • Reading not only increases your literary skills, but also gives you a creative boost.
  • It also lets you sleep better. (something so much more needed in out gadget-based lives).
  • Of course, it provides you endless supply of information.

The sight of people still reading while they travel  ( a rare scene in today's life) brings me delight. Its my appeal to all: Please encourage others to read (especially the young minds at work).

With the thought of reviving the art of reading, I present to you my own Lending library with over 300 books. Please log on to https://www.facebook.com/bookgourmet or follow us on Twitter: @bookhub for more details :)

If you think Reading is boring, you definitely are reading 'Wrong'.
