Of Cigarettes and Small Town Boys

You light a black cigarette

Everyday at sunset

Bare-bodied,

In your small apartment balcony.

P.C: Pinterest

Puff after puff,

Wandering off

Into your own thoughts.

Are you plotting against your ex?

Or planning your next tinder date?

I give a constant glare,

Probing,

What is really cooking in that wicked

Mind of yours?

Instead,

I should just bump into you across the street

And start breathing the same toxic air.

At least it won't kill me

As much as Love did :)

  2. Your poem really makes me think about how simple actions, like smoking on a balcony, can say a lot about someone's feelings and life. It's interesting and relatable.
