You light a black cigarette

Everyday at sunset

Bare-bodied, 

In your small apartment balcony.

Wandering off

Into your own thoughts.

Are you plotting against your ex?

Or planning your next tinder date?

I give a constant glare,

Probing,

What is really cooking in that wicked

Mind of yours?

Instead,

I should just bump into you across the street

And start breathing the same toxic air.

At least it won't kill me 

As much as Love did :)

I am tired

You suggest a romcom

I know you hate the idea of romcoms
But for me you dare,
To get through it with a smile
And surprisingly, it lasts for a while.

Before I fall asleep in your arms,
I sometimes want to blabber.
You pretend to listen

I guess, you like how much my eyes glisten?

It feels like a dream.

Those rom com days!

Now when I think of them,

I would like to believe 

They were miracle cookies

With a dollop of cream!

That warm hug from your core.

The kiss on my forehead,

That last question on your lips,

That I misread.

Today, All of it brings a smile.

I know it has been a while,

But I still adore your style.

Life can sometimes really be hostile,

Those are the times I wish,

I took that extra mile.

I find myself at sea,

I am aware, I should not be.

But the soul  does not always see the light,

It often picks up the blight.

That is when I take a cookie bite,

And call it a warm fuzzy night.
